It premiered on 2 October 2022 at Cinema Charlot – Municipal Auditorium, Setúbal.
Rui Paixão and Dona Edite joined forces to co-create an original project, which premiered in 2022. It is a docufiction filmed in the Fishermen's Quarter, the Grito do Povo Quarter and the centre of Setúbal. Fato Macaco focuses on collecting real testimonies of struggles and acts of resistance and protest by workers in the region.
Alongside this collection of testimonies, there is the story of a fictional character, with a mascot head, who lives in the Fishermen's Quarter and reflects some of the issues associated with working conditions across sectors and generations.
